Dear customers: as you may be aware VF2 Flasher was released back in 2015 already with BDM for MPC5xx. Of course that anyone in this industry is well aware that opening the control unit case is a time intensive task and in some cases it can render it’s internal circuits non-functional. We think that our customers deserve the best! So on today’s update we are releasing BENCH mode for Bosch with MPC5xx microcontrollers so that you can work with any ME9/MED9/EDC16 and even some EDC7 control unit’s without having to open them. The protocol is impressively reliable and fast with reading times around a minute for full contents ( Internal Flash + External Flash + External Eeprom) while checksums’s are verified while reading and recalculated in some seconds without the need for an internet connection. All memories on each control unit are automatically detected just like in BDM MPC5xx so there is no need for you to worry about different ecu variants. We wish to thank all partners and customers for their confidence in our work. Do not miss the Youtube videos down below!
On Bosch ME9.7, M9.2 BMSK and some variants of MED9.6.1 BENCH mode is locked (tool does inform in these cases). On these ECUs to unlock BENCH mode read the ecu via BDM MPC5xx and send the file to support so that we can have it unlocked for you.
Very important for repair workshops:
On damaged control units BENCH mode might not work; in this case our recomendation is the following: use BDM MPC5xx to read/recover original ecu contents (“Read All”) then on a functional control unit use BENCH mode to write all the contents from damaged ecu (“Write All”).
